I should move to a brand new city and teach myself how to die.

Basic info: Dancing on the line between sanity and cyberpsychosis on any stage that’ll take her, Robin Largo (known mostly by the stage name OVERDOSE, or nickname Robs) is a rockerboy idoru with anger issues looking for her missing family.

Tailored to Cyberpunk 2077, but kinda-sorta compatible with Cyberpunk RED. More in-depth info below.

Physical

Robs stands at 5’8” and a half (the half is very important to her). She has a thin frame and very pale skin, almost paper-white. She steps lightly, making little noise when she walks.

Her naturally brown hair is dyed a bright teal, and reaches past her waist. She wears it styled in an overgrown hime-cut. At this time, she does not currently have tech hair, though has considered it many times.

Her face is most often completely flat and emotionless, rarely does she manage to emote aside from a scowl. Her eyes are almost constantly narrowed in a sharp glare. Her left eye has been replaced with a bright red cyber eye, though her right eye is organic and a dull green color.

On stage, she dons her Asia Pop-inspired idoru costume. Off stage, she wears a lot of tight-fitting black clothing. She loves big chunky black boots.

Abilities

Cyberware - 2077

Thanks to advancements in cyberware technology, even with her susceptibility to cyberpsychosis, Robs is able to enjoy the following chrome hardware.

Cyberware - RED

Robs' empathy of 5 gives her 50 points of humanity. Her cyberware humanity loss amounts to 47, leaving her with 3 points of humanity left. Full list of cyberware below.

Weapon Inventory

Robs typically carries a custom silenced sniper rifle, custom smart pistol, and a 6-foot metal pipe she calls her 'bo staff'. She owns other weaponry, but those are her mainstays.

SUICIDOL

SUICIDOL is the rock Idoru group that Robs belongs to. Within the group, she operates under the stage name OVERDOSE. The other two members are Mercuri Daedalus, aka LACERATE, and Akina Kasai, aka IMMOLATE. They have been performing for a handful of years with mild popularity in Night City. Their sound is comparable to idol groups like BiS, ZOC, Zsasz, KAQRIYOTERROR, etc.

They debuted a year or two after Us Cracks, with their producers and managers being inspired by UC’s popularity. Rather than following their steps in the lazrpop genre, however, SUICIDOL presents themselves as a bit heavier and more hardcore. This has put them in a position of pseudo-rivalry, as both groups have 3 girls and market themselves as idols, though Us Cracks have considerably more popularity than SUICIDOL.

LACERATE is the oldest member of the group and the closest thing they have to a leader, and coincidentally is the most popular member. She has a rough personality and a crass sense of humor. She wears a lot of shorts to show off her custom cyberlegs. She’s very loud, and her main role in the group is harsh, shouting vocals.

IMMOLATE is the next oldest, and despite her cheerful and cute demeanor, is the least popular member of the group (she doesn’t know though, and if she did, it wouldn’t bother her). She is the most chromed member of the group, having undergone a full body conversion after an unfortunate incident with a house fire. Her role in the group is the main dancer.

OVERDOSE is the youngest member, though considers herself the most mature. She takes her role in the group very seriously, and is rarely, if ever, seen smiling. Her role in the group is the main clean vocalist.

Robs does not get along with the other two members, but is good at pretending in front of the fans and management. She does not hide her distaste for the members when it’s just the three of them, however. She’d quit the group if she could, but she needs the industry connections.

Family

Tod Bateman: Robs’ father. A rockerboy in his youth that traveled Night City and surrounding areas for a handful of years. Eventually, he quit the band, and began working for a corporation to support his family. Though Robs was closer with her mother, she was inspired by him to pursue music. He worked for a company called ExTek, a direct competitor to Militech. They manufactured weapons for cheap, and put them in the hands of the people, rather than the military, which Militech did not like. They had a direct hand in the fall of Extek. Robs is unaware her father was their chief creator and designed nearly every weapon ExTek made and sold. Also unbeknownst to Robs, Tod was kidnapped by Militech officials to forcibly recruit him, and have him design their weapons instead.

Patti Bateman (nee Largo): Robs’ mother. Never trusted cyberware, and had none implanted. It's because of this that Robs has scarce chrome. She worked as a teacher. She and Robs were very close. All she has left of her is a gold necklace with a little honeybee charm on it.

Storm Bateman: Robs’ younger brother by about three and a half years. They weren’t especially close, but they did care for each other, and considering the age he disappeared at and the dangerous work she found out he got up to, Robs fears what might have happened to him.

Story

TL;DR: Robs’ father, in his early days, was a mildly popular rockerboy in a band. Eventually, he quit and got a job at a corporation, married Robs’ mother, and settled down to start a family. His ex-bandmates detested his leaving, as most of the fans left with him. Very early in Robs’ childhood, her younger brother Storm was born. As the years passed, the company Tod worked for began slowly losing money, which would eventually lead to the family having to relocate multiple times to smaller, more dangerous areas. Eventually, a day came where ExTek went completely bankrupt, and the entire staff was laid off, including Tod. He was unemployed and desperately looking for a job, and a lucrative offer was posed to him. On his way home that day, he never made it, having vanished without a trace. Robs’ family tried to relocate to a different part of the city again, fearing the worst, but in the years that followed, her mother disappeared, and so did her brother. Having been an idoru trainee from a young age, she decided to enter the industry proper to find someone who might know where her father (and, she assumes, the rest of her family) went. She’s met various fixers along the way, and does work for them on the side. Currently, she lives in a mid-scale apartment in Night City with her pet cat, Stellaluna. She does not have a driver’s license, but owns a motorcycle.

LONG VERSION: Robs was born in the early 2050s to Patti and Tod Bateman. She enjoyed a comfortable life in her very early years, though early in the lives of herself and her younger brother Storm, the trajectory of her family’s life quickly turned downward. The corporation Tod worked for was not making money like it did in the beginning, and ultimately began rapidly losing money. Tod, ever loyal, did not jump ship like many of his coworkers did. As the company could not afford to pay much, the family could not afford their current living situations, and relocated multiple times to cheaper, more dangerous places. Coming home from work one day, Tod had a run-in with his old bandmates, and came home heavily injured. The family relocated yet again, and stayed there for a time. Patti worked as a teacher, moving to remote work and video call lessons as the family moved around Night City. In their young ages, Robs and Storm enjoyed having their parents at home more often.

Growing up, Tod told Robs many stories of his days in a band, and would often play his guitar while spending time at home. It didn't take Robs long to decide she wanted to pursue music, too, so she ended up convincing her parents to let her start taking singing and dancing lessons when she was around 6 years old. She joined a dance company, though didn’t officially train to be an idoru until later.

At the age of 12, Robs entered her first idoru tainee camp, joining a trainee group of 12 girls, called Team Team. They performed together for about two years, though never officially released any music. They disbanded due to the majority of the girls graduating out of the group or simply quitting, and Robs went back to being a normal trainee. It was around this time that Robs realized the severity of the situation her father was in, that his ex-bandmates really had it out for him - and possibly people affected by the corporation he worked for. She wanted to help, and brought it up often, but she was always shot down. Nothing she could do.

When Robs was 16, nearing the age where she could finally officially debut with her company, there came a day where Tod simply… did not come home. Patti tried contacting anyone who might know his whereabouts, his old boss, coworkers, friends, anyone - she even tried to contact his old bandmates - but it was almost as if they never existed at all. Patti was desperate to move herself and her children out of the area they were in, but with Tod gone, and her freshly unemployed, the costs were simply too high. She eventually got a bartending job, and Robs was able to earn a little bit of money through tips from street performances, and eventually they scrounged up enough money to relocate.

Before moving, Patti changed her surname back to her maiden name, and did the same for Robs and Storm, just in case. However, soon after moving into their new apartment, Patti disappeared two months after Robs’ twentieth birthday. Now the sole provider for herself and her brother, Robs was paranoid. Would they come for her next? There’s no way they had enough money to move again. Could Storm get a job? But that would just put him in harm’s way. But Storm wanted to work. He was smart, and he was strong, and worked as a freelance solo merc without Robs’ knowledge to bolster their funds. She found out only too late, and eventually Storm disappeared, too. She was 23 at the time, Storm was 20.

From there, Robs was lost. Her family was gone, and it’s not like she had any friends. Even at the entertainment company, there was nobody there she considered anything more than an acquaintance. But maybe it was time to make some connections? She applied for an audition for a rock-idoru group, and ended up passing all auditions along with two other girls around her age, Akina and Mercuri. Akina was from another company, and Mercuri, while unaffiliated to any company, was a somewhat big name in the underground scene of Night City. The group was dubbed SUICIDOL, and the girls were assigned the stage names of OVERDOSE, IMMOLATE, and LACERATE. They were a moderate hit right away, thanks to the company’s marketing, though some were skeptical of the blending of rock and idoru elements.

The group got along fine at first, but over the years, Robs grew to resent the other two members. After all, Robs wasn’t here to make friends, she was here to make connections. She made contact with anyone and everyone she could that might have any information about her father’s ex-bandmates, desperate for anything that might lead her closer to finding what happened to him.

A handful of years and a lot of cyberware later, Robs has not made much progress. With as many industry professionals as she’s gotten to know, none of them seem to be the right ones, and with SUICIDOL getting more mainstream, the underground venues her father performed at are getting farther out of Robs’ reach. To combat this, she sought out a handful of fixers to give her gigs that might get her closer. Over time, she’s acquired a new, nicer apartment, a motorcycle (but no driver’s license), a sniper rifle, a pistol, and a large metal pipe she calls her ‘bo staff’.
